What: Use the 'snowball' strategy to collect ideas from students anonymously.
How: Have each student respond to a question or prompt by writing on a notecard. Then each student will fold their notecard and put it in the center, and then everyone chooses an anonymous note card to read out loud.
Why: This can be helpful in generating ideas when students might not be inclined to share their ideas out loud. This activity allows ideas to be discussed anonymously where the focus is on the idea, and not the person who is sharing the idea.
