What: Equally as important as gathering mid-semester feedback, is sharing the feedback with the students in a clear, organized manner, and articulating the changes that you will be able to make moving forward.

How: You can share the feedback with students by typing out all the responses and giving students physical copies of it, you can compile the feedback into a slideshow and share it with students during class, or you can compile information into an email. Talking about the feedback explicitly in class is usually helpful.

Why: Sharing the feedback with students is affirming for them because they will be able to feel like their voices are being valued in the construction of the classroom environment. You can also use this as an opportunity to explicitly share the changes you will make to the class, so students can see exactly how their feedback had a direct, and immediate impact on the classroom.
